Youth

We know that young people are being exposed to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs at an early age. You see and hear alcohol advertising all around you on television, in magazines and on the radio. You may also be facing pressure from your friends to drink, smoke or use other drugs or you may feel like everyone your age is drinking or using.

Before deciding to use, it is important that you have as much information as possible to help you make more healthy choices. If you feel uncomfortable in a situation and need help making wise decisions, get the support you need from an adult that you trust – like your parent(s), your family doctor, or a teacher or school counselor.

The Addiction Resource Council is also available to answer your questions. You can call us at 262-524-7921 to set up a confidential appointment with one of our substance abuse professionals or we can provide you with some information over the telephone.
